# Top 10 Best Place To Visit In Africa On Holiday

If you are wondering where to go in Africa, then you are in the right place... Let us discuss my top 9 favorite African

countries for a stunning vacation on the road. To choose only one reason to visit Africa and choose only one place of

interest is impossible, there are so many. Whether you are looking to explore bustling cities such as Cape Town, Cairo, and

Marrakesh, or hope to take a peek at Africa's wildlife in Kenya, South Africa, or Tanzania, there is no shortage of things for

travelers of all types to do. Whether you are tempted by the white sand beaches, cosmopolitan cities like Cape Town, visiting

Morocco Atlas Mountains, or getting up close and personal with the Big Five animals on safari, Africa is bound to have a

spot on your bucket list.

Africa is an expansive continent that offers an endless number of destinations that are well worth exploring. Cape Town is a

fantastic destination for setting up base and exploring all of the amazing things South Africa has to offer. I have visited

South Africa several times now, and just love going back, it is one of my favorite places to explore. Namibia is the place in

Africa for an up-close experience with wild animals, sans the crowds.

Home to 800 chimpanzees, the Namibian flagship reserve is one of the best places in Africa if you want to be up close with

man's closest living relatives in the wild. Namaqualand and Namaqua National Park, near the border with Namibia, is so far

away from all of South Africa's other tourist attractions that you hardly ever see Namaqualand and Namaqua National Park

mentioned as one of South Africa's best places to visit. Amboseli National Park is home to the longest-running elephant

research study in the world, established in 1975, and is one of the best places in Africa to watch interactions between

elephants, who are remarkably habituated here and have impressively large tusks.

This lushly forested Ugandan National Park is one of the best places to visit in Africa if you want to see these gentle

giants -- the largest primates in the world, with weights up to 200kg -- at their cloudy mountain homes. Virunga National

Park is best known for Virunga National Parks mountain gorillas, but you may also get a glimpse of Tongo chimpanzees, or even

hike up to the top of the Nyiragongo volcano for the glow of the worlds largest lava lake. Established in 1925 as Africa's

first National Park, Virunga National Park is also one of the best places to see wild chimpanzees. The protected area is also

one of the best places in Africa for wildlife lovers, with some of the wild animals that you may be able to spot during your

visit, including African buffalo, black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, blue wildebeest, and even the occasional Tanzanian cheetah.

The sprawling interior delta created by the Kavango river, which is sinking in the sands of the Kalahari desert, ranks as one

of the best places to visit in Africa to get up close to hippos, crocodiles, and other aquatic wildlife. One of the most

spectacular places on Earth, the Okavango Delta, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is among Africa's best-visited destinations.

The Okavango Delta has very particular wildlife diversity, which is rightly considered to be one of Africa's best wildlife

destinations year-round.

One of East Africa's most remote parks, the Namibian flagship preserve protects a swath of the jungle-draped escarpment of the

Rift Valley, bordering a stunningly beautiful Lake Tanganyika. Nyika, the largest Malawian National Park, is among Africa's

most remarkable, encompassing a plateau cut with multiple rivers, which flow into Lake Malawi via cascades from the mountains

eastern rim. Namibia, as one of Botswana's neighboring countries, is equally teeming with wildlife, and is a fantastic place

to go on a road trip in some of Africa's amazing landscapes.

Africa is varied and beautiful, with no end of things you can see, do, and explore. I have been to Africa 26 times, and every

time, I am amazed by just how much there is to see and do.

As rated by Lonely Planet, Forbes, National Geographic, CNN, etc., here's what you need to go to in Africa today. Of course,

which places make it onto your list of "must-sees" will depend on your own interests and preferences, but here's a look at the

top 10 evocative, iconic, must-see spots across the African continent. For us, the continents best places are Zanzibar, the

Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Cape Town, the Fish River Canyon, and the largest intact river on earth.

Many tourists spend their time doing the Circle, which includes Zanzibar, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, and the other National

Parks of the Northern Region of Tanzania. Of course, Tanzania is the home to Mt. Kilimanjaro, one of the biggest hiking

destinations on a bucket list anywhere in the world. Of course, Tanzania has plenty else going for it; you can check out the

big five during safaris at the Serengeti National Park, or venture out to the tropical island of Zanzibar to relax

completely.

It is easily possible to visit both Zanzibar island, and the Serengeti and Ngorongoro craters, in one cheap safari. One

reason we love Zanzibar here at Africa Budget Safaris is that it is a great match for the big five game drives in Madagascar

exotic islands. We at African Budget Safaris rank Tanzania amongst the best places for safaris in Africa this coming year.

The exotic island of Madagascar is also featured on The Insiders tongue-in-cheek 40 places to go to in 2020, before they get

overrun by tourists.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya Kenya is ranked amongst the 10 best places in Africa for tourism, with each visitor

having an entirely different experience while visiting. The Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya has earned the prestigious

distinction as one of the most gratifying safari destinations in Africa. On an African road trip, you could get to know the

people of Kenyans Masai Mara, gaze across the plains of the Serengeti, or relax on a tropical island.
